Back in May of 2003, I was working somewhere that I really didn't want to be. It was not a nice place, to say the least. However, Alice, pixie-like muse of mine that she is, came along and made things better.

This is a ballpoint (two colors, no less) sketch, done in about five minutes, probably less, of Alice. The other three are also in this gallery.

Alice's background and being is very heavily based on the 'Alice In Wonderland' mythos, by my design and by hers. Originally, in my Cyberpunk game, I had the characters make their way to a dance club known as 'The Mock Turtle', which was run by a man named Roy and his enigmatic partner, Alice. She sort of took over from there, and soon became one of my most adored and doted on characters (She demands a lot of my attention from time to time).

Here, then, is Alice, in what is mostly usual attire for her, going about her business (right down to the 6 7/8 price tag on the hat). I'm disappointed with the detail on the boots. They're supposed to be the type that can zip down four ways, allowing for very high-boot or very low-boot fashion.

I love that sketching! Brilliant job for 5mins of work!

:-) James Milligan replies: "Thank you! I like it, too!"

Once again the sketchyness. I love these pictures and if yu propaly (excuse my spelloing) these would be absolutely wonderful. (Thou i guess you can't do much retouch stuff when all these pictures are done wiht 2 pens.) I guess that it's really hard drawing with pens. All the more fun heh?

:-) James Milligan replies: "It was actually quite releasing for me, to be forced into only those two pens, and to have to live with my mistakes (if I made any) while working on the picture. Quite fun!"

Wow. For two different colored pens, you certainly pulled off such an awesome style with her! The sketchy look to it is amazing. I love her boots and the veil, as well! Excellent work!

:-) James Milligan replies: "Thank you. Sorry it took so long to get back to you on the comment. 2 This was definitely very "sketchy," as it only took me five minutes. I limited myself to five and only five minutes to see what I was capable of when pushed."

Sort of a sketchy remake of an older pic. I like it, but I think I like the original more.

:-) James Milligan replies: "Yeah, I do, too... still, it worked, don't you think?"
