I think the problem is you drew her thighs and hips to look masculine. Female bodies are more curvy. But I'm not a very good drawer so you can take my comment or leave it.
| 13 Mar 2006 | AKK | Loading...I can only wish I was half as good as the people here. Anyways, you're not related to the Jim Milligan mentioned by Andy Weir(http://galactanet.com/comic) are you? Now, on to specific comments. The females are suffering from a slight straightness to the hips(especially noticeable with the half-orc). The males look alright to me. Is the half-orc circumcised, or did he just pull it back? Overall, a very nice job. 9/10(4/5 for the females, 5/5 for the males) There does exist out there another picture for the D&D females(also nude), but I will not link to it, because it's on a site which might or might not violate the ToC on Elfwood. James Milligan replies: "Hey, there. To answer your questions/comment.
Yes, I am in fact that Jim Milligan. Andy Weir and I are really good friends, we went to Junior High together, we game together when we can, and we plot world domination frequently. We're also the kings of snark and have a habit of opening our conversations with "Yo Mama" jokes.
The females have a horrible straightness to their hips. If I were to redo this, I would fix that first thing.
The half orc is circumcised, because circumcision is a religious effect put forth by warrior cultures and cultures with a tradition of extreme religious fervor. The main reason it's used in modern day cultures is either as a holdover from those cultures or from a misbelief that it aids in "preventing disease" or is "painless." (says the guy who's written papers on it...).
The other site you're talking about is T. Catt's isn't it? Yeah, actually, my conversations with him might have been the reason he did his picture. I haven't heard from him in years, though, so it's possible that is not the case. Thank you for your comments! "
| 24 Mar 2006 | Pedro Pinto | Loading...Why do you care about what annonymous people say? They only need to get a life. Nice artwork... You should do more nudes. They look original (ork one) and well done! James Milligan replies: "I've actually been doing most of my art uploading over at Deviant Art (where I am "jemstone" - go see!) mostly due to the fact that Elfwood's commentary has degenerated into "OMG NEKKID IS BAD! U R TEH DEVIL!" and the like. I will return to Elfwood as my primary online gallery when people start respecting Thomas' efforts and the spirit of the place returns to what it was once, rather than the confused thing it is today." | |
| 1 Apr 2006 | Josh | Loading...First of, I love your work. Two things of note... One... I want the little squirrel-rat thing the elf-girl is holding. Two... why does the half-orc woman have the Quake logo on her thigh? James Milligan replies: "The Squirrel-Thingum cannot be bought. Sorry. The Half Orc woman doesn't have the Quake logo on her thigh, she has a crescent and spike. The Quake Logo is actually rather different." | |

| 11 Jul 2006 | EternalFire | Loading...I think I know why you dont like the female pic.....First off (like many others have said) Female hips are curvy second, the knees (in my opinion) are far too low.
other than that I quite like it
