Gayle Bird, for those of you who don't know, is an incredibly close personal friend of mine. We encourage and console each other all the time. Another thing we do is chat, and one day, we were chatting about how my Maggie character drawings needed color... Well, I suggested that Gayle do an interp of Maggie for me, in that fantastic computer-painting style she's got. So, Gayle said she would, but I had to do an interpretation of her Silver Haired Elf drawing, from her gallery. I pointed out that there wasn't much beyond a portrait- bust to work with, and Gayle then gave me a complete costume list to work from, and finished it with 'really kick ass boots and lots of cool Jim additions'. Ooookay. =) So, I found a pose, worked it over a bit, and then added the costume in that Gayle specified. The ONLY things I added to it were the boots and the drapey sleevey thing on her arm... the rest is all Gayle's imagination put to paper. I'm really rather pleased with this, and I know she liked it. I was working on a color version of this to simoultaneously upload, but my computer froze and lost all the data, dammit! =(

I read your response to Grant Gould's comment. I'd say you did a lot of running. Can anyone say "marathon"? I love the whole pose, and yes, the boots are kick-ass. I could never get the hand of those tops myself - can I have some of your talent? Just an incey-wincey bit?

:-) James Milligan replies: "Sorry, it's so seldom under my control that I can't offer any of my talent to anyone... sometimes, not even myself. As said before, if you make or find similar boots, please, provide pictures. Thanks!"

ooh, drat you for drawing so good... :14out:: I'm going to go and type on my laptop now, hahaHA, do YOU have a laptop? DO you? hahahha, I win, I win. Well...... not really, but let's just say I did.

:-) James Milligan replies: "Didn't know we were competing. =) But yes, I do have a laptop."

Hey, I actually didn't put as much into this as he did. I told him to make a really awesome outfit that he does so well. He came up with almost all of this. It's all Jim.

:-) James Milligan replies: "Oh, you. *hugs* You're always so modest."

The expression, the clothes.. and the drawings on her legs are all very well done. Kudos on an excellent image. Her pose is what catches my eye the most, however. Her curve really suits the picture. I like the way her left leg comes up a little off the floor.

:-) James Milligan replies: "So do I, really. I wish I could capture the mood I managed to get in this picture again. I could really use the ability to do so, I think. I'm glad you like it! 2"

But, the question is, who's she seducing?

:-) James Milligan replies: "I take it that means you like it? 2"

Mmmmmm.....!

:-) James Milligan replies: "You know, I do believe you are the first person to ever comment on the facial appearance of any of the pictures I've done in such a manner? THANK YOU!"

Another very nice piece. I really like the pose, the dragons on the stockings, and the design on her skirt. And the expression on her face is perfect! Hard to put my finger on exactly how... partly because it matches the pose perfectly.

Maybe I shouldn't say this... but... the boots are my least favorite part *hides*

:-) James Milligan replies: "Hey, not everyone follows the Elfwood Shoe Cult. No worries. 2"
