Maya is, yes, yet another character out of a Champions Game. This is a completely ink drawing, excepting for the light blue pencil used to sketch it in (erased). I've got a pencil pic of her lying around somewhere. I'll see if I can find it and put it up here. Congratulations, Elfwood, this is a Zone47 exclusive (not on the Jim Page!)

Yes I know you aren't fond of needles (points to your previous parenthetical 'short' after your comment) which is, of course, why I did that. To be a meanie in general 2

You are strange, sir, but I do like knowing that Maya is your favorite piece of the gallery. I'm rather partial to her, myself. =)

=P Fine, be that way. Meanie! =) Anyway, many thanks for the comments. =)

Hmmm... Does her name allude to the Hindu term refering to the illusion that is Reality?

In fact, it does! Give that man a prize!

Interesting angle, well drawn. I like what you've done with the ink, especially the wings.

Thanks, Linda. I'm a bit disappointed with the ink-wash, myself, but I guess so long as other people like it, it can't be all bad, right?

Great action here and fantastic wings, well done! I could never use ink myself but you seem to have mastered it well 1

:-) James Milligan replies: "Ink, like watercolor, is a harsh and unforgiving mistress. Part of the reason why I turned the "one piece" costume that she was supposed to be wearing into a "bodystocking" style costume is because I messed up... in a big way... and had to fix it. So, rather than risk the wrath of said harsh and unforgiving mistress, I simply modified my plan and accomodated my big mistake. Glad you like, though! Thank you!"

Ohhs! Wings@ I cannot seem to get wings looking right at all. *sigh* But you..*grumbles jealously* And her pose. Very action-ish. Bravo

:-) James Milligan replies: "I cheated on the wings. I found several pictures of a bat and went from there. 2"

I like her costume and pose very much in this one. Hehehe am going to your fantasy gallery now. MUHAHA!!!

:-) James Milligan replies: "I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to this. Work and life have been hectic, to say the least. Glad you like it! Thank you!"

Ha! I've seen her before, yes I have! In the DCG! This is probably my favorite pic of yours, the pose just rocks. I also love how you've used ink. Haven't touched the stuff in two years myself. Maybe I should give it another go someday...

:-) James Milligan replies: "You definitely SHOULD give ink another go! I'd love to see it! I really need to post the new version of Maya from the DCG here, don't you think?"
