I was commissioned in 2003 by the folks at Sabledrake Enterprises to do several bits of work for their 'Naughty & Dice' Fantasy Role Play supplement - this was one of the most highly acclaimed pieces I submitted to the book. In fact, it's the only piece submitted to the book by any of their artists with a nude male figure. I guess the other artists didn't get the idea that the book was about more than pretty naked women. *shrug*

In any even, here we have a watchful male Satyr looking out over his limited, but pastoral, domain, while the females of his flock scamper about below him. I purposely distorted his anatomy, making his arms attach similarly to, but still different from, a human's - if you look, his arms are long enough to allow him to brace on all fours, and his chest is built slightly differently, as well. You can't see it shrunk down like this, but he has the characteristic horizontal pupils of a goat, as well.

Oh, and look! I did a background!

A-ha! *does the first comment jig*
A satyr who actually looks like something other than a man with fuzzy legs, very nice. The Warcraft influence works very well, and you can never fault naked fauns cavorting in the background 2

Very nice! =) I love all the background detail work that you did.

This is my favorite. I like it because it doesn't look like someone is posing for a camera. I use think it was very masterful to have characters at different distances and still in proportion. That's hard to do. I like the changes in his anatomy, he does look like he could run on all fours. Again not easy to do. I think this picture shows the depth of your talent very well. That and it's a cool pic besides 2

Couldn't you draw that guy with pants? I don't want to see his willie. and then those kids down there watching the show... c'mon 16

:-) James Milligan replies: "Couldn't you leave an e-mail address to send this reply to? No? Well, then, I really don't feel any obligation to do as you have asked. Further, of ALL The pictures in my gallery, of ALL the pictures in Elfwood, you pick THIS one to complain about? Sounds to me like you were searching for something to object to, and decided to take your personal issues out on J. Random Artist. Tell you what - if you don't like it, don't look. This picture does not violate the rules of Elfwood, and is actually used in print work out there in the wide wide world of publishing. How about formulating decent, constructive, criticism before asking if someone can put pants on a Satyr. Yeesh."

Late comment, but I like how crazygirl doesn’t object to the character she perceives? to be a young girl, topless but objects to an adult male, pantless... c’mon16

Anyway, nice picture. Ha, I actually like the background more than the satyr.
