'I swam through the waters, searching for her, having left the land for her demesne as she had bidden me, so long ago. My lungs ached, my vision clouded, as I dove deeper and deeper, returning to the surface less and less frequently. The blood in my veins burned, and my head pounded, the sound of my heart pumping in my ears reminding me I was still alive.' 'At last, I found her, entwined within the enormous coils of a beast - some great cat wrought into an image suitable for the frigid depths I found myself in - it's massive form cradling her beautiful shape, its tail intertwined with hers. As I approached, it opened its eyes, and from its throat came a rumble that sent a thunder through the water, battering me back - a warning.' 'She opened her eyes, lazily, and stroked the great beasts head, calming it.' 'Hush, Tah'baht,' she said, although her lips did not move. 'I bid him come. I would make him part of us.' 'And she smiled, and opened her arms, and as the light faded from my world, I felt the warmth of her embrace, welcoming me to the icy depths, forever.' The third of the Sea Queen images, done for the wonderful Natalie Paquette, complete with its accompanying story tidbit. The narrator... does he die? Does he change and become like the Queen? Who can say? There may be more to this story, there may not be. We shall have to see, yes? For you, love. I hope I've done it justice. *smile*

The colour is amazing too!
Again, i love the purple.
And the story... You're a good writer!
I think i'll take your advice and go see this natalie you keep talking about. Hehe, my sister's name is natalie...
Newayz, you could make a whole big long story to go with it and make a movie. This picture looks like a scene from an animated film. Very cool.

This, I like a lot better. She looks more attractive now. I'd hit it. 2

Again, awesome works on the tails, don't care for the flesh-color. The fins are excelent, though.

:-) James Milligan replies: "The flesh color stays because it is the body color of the mermaid, and I hold a firm belief that the "scale-waist" of the traditional mermaid is silly. I like the fins, too."

"entwined within the enormous coils of a beast"

Not much of an entining -- has about half a coil very loosely around her.

:-) James Milligan replies: "en·twine P Pronunciation Key (n-twn)v. en·twined, en·twin·ing, en·twines v. tr.To twine around or together: The ivy entwined the column.

v. intr.To twine or twist together.

Look! a NIT! You'd better go pick it!"
