| 28 Aug 2001 | AV Salois | Loading...Hehe! Great art - excellent way to get a point across and catch people's attention. I think it's cool that you're a guy poking fun at the bizarre anatomy of today's comic book heroines, as it's usually females that have these sorta complaints. Yay for you! Thank you! =) | |
| 8 Dec 2001 | Lisa Coleman | Loading...Nice Linework. James Milligan replies: "Thank you! Wanna know the scary part? It's all done in pencil. No ink. Eeeeeep!" | |
| 9 Dec 2001 | Amanda R. Keeys | Loading...*Laughs*. I think you've done a good job of pointing out part of whats wrong with the state of todays 'american' comics (not that they're all american). Apart from that though, I think the line work is pretty good, and I like the clothing design you've given her - especially the little bell on the collar/choker. James Milligan replies: "Thanks, Amanda. I'm working on a "new and improved" Zappy for a new year... I have a few ideas on how to make her more exploitive and even more objectified... but I'm a bit afraid to do so... Hey! I'll ask you the same question I just asked Lisa... Wanna get in on a Zone-Wide "Zap Kitten Interpretation" project? We could start a trend! =) What do you say?" | |
| 15 Mar 2002 | Emily 'Deemaeda' Oberdorfer | Loading...I don't see the problem here. *stifles sudden guffaw attack, falls off her chair* True, I tend to draw my characters with more top-side than may be considered normal, but they either appear that way due to their costumes--*points to Sherice and her boostier/corset ensemble*--or because I have been cursed with having to use my own body as a model up until my last life-drawing class. Anyway, I'm rambling. Besides the whole plug against the comic-fetish-gone-disgustingly-wrong, she looks bad-ass. And I want her hair. *g* Very clean--the drawing, I mean--and flowy. Me likes. James Milligan replies: "Hey, I would have NO problem using you as a model, Em. Anyone who says you wouldn't do good as one is smoking some serious crackage, there. Gimme some ideas for an even more exploitive and objectified Zappy? Please? And, again, same question: Wanna get a Zone Wide Zap Kitten Interpretation project going? =)" | |

| 19 Jun 2002 | Elise B. | Loading...Ummm can she walk? I mean without toppling over?? James Milligan replies: "Only, as it says in the caption and other comments, by way of comic book physics... hence my stab at the industry." | |
| 10 Nov 2002 | Mandii | Loading...Oops...sorry about that double message that is the same. My computer keeps messin' up. James Milligan replies: "No worries. Taken care of." | |
| 10 Nov 2002 | Mandii | Loading...Hi...umm...me and my friends figured out the physics of comic books here about a year ago with the female form. If you ever watch the drawing style...the chest get smaller when fighting, but bigger when simply walking around. Thus we call them "airpump tits"(it wouldn't let me put the actual name *sigh*). I'm glad that there is actually a guy who prefers drawing proportional female figures rather than lopsided or too heavy on top ones. Nice work. ^_^ James Milligan replies: "I find that women who are drawn more proportionately, as opposed to the weird-ass styles of most comic book artists, are, in fact, more attractive to me. They're more attainable, rather than fantasty imagery. Thank you! And don't worry about the double post. I'll nix it." | |
