This is so fantastic.. it enthralls and terrifies me.

Have you ever seen Donnie Darko? It very much reminds me of Frank from that movie.
Anyways..really think you captured the Cheshire Cat with this one. He's not really cute...he's a scary thing that you have to be guided by..and I think you got that.
Lovely work.

:-) Manu Ego replies: "well this painting is from th 98..so i dont think iv got th idea from that, but i know what u mean,in fact Frank quite fascinaste me in th movie..and i love th dark misty feeling in my drawings..thank u for yr comment im happy people share my opinion about th Cheshire cat not being cute and fluffy 2"

i love this! i enjoy your take on the cheshire cat more than the Disney character version.

:-) Manu Ego replies: "I love Alice in Wonderland im never imagine th cat as a sweet cheeky pussy but more as a dark ,sarcastic creature..thank u for passing by and drop a comment.."

You've really captured the unpredictable personality of the Cheshire cat with your dark and loose style. Nail varnish? Neat idea! 2

:-) Manu Ego replies: "Thanks,th nail varnish is been used in th glossy red parts..some in th face and sides of th cat..i was looking for something to recreate a bloody texture with some plastic effect..but didnt find any that keep th wet glow after drying, so experimenting i got into some nail varnish, deep red, black and purple something..and mixed quite well with th ink and watercolor i used..takes a while to dry fine thou..new tricks!!2"

Reminds me of my little kitty, Rebecca. She's fuzzy and kinda cute but she's the spawn of Satan (in cahoots with the carnivorous dustbunnies, no doubt). I also agree with the Cheshire cat motif. He did seem more the crazed, sadistic type.

:-) Manu Ego replies: "Be careful with yr Rebecca...if u check Th Dragomiro few paintings further..u'll see what happen with a cat and some photoshop!!"

I absolutely love this! (creative way of putting to use that nail varnish, by the way) Very nice representation of the Cheshire cat.
