Eric is a bonehead for not merging his Zone47 gallery before it went away. He's also a system administrator who lacks imagination, but can nail the details fairly well.
 
 
 
I discovered I could draw stuff when I was around 8, and despite never having attended art classes, improved much over the years. I'm self-taught, and have learned many techniques including pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, colored-pencil, airbrush, and various computer rendering software, including CAD - I was very much into Drafting through High School as well. I quit the Air Force in 1996, since they hosed me on the drafting thing, and I have more time for creating. I'm also not comfortable with the label 'Artist.' Simply because what I do, I feel should be termed more along the lines of 'Technical Illustrator.' I can draw what I see, and in most cases, what I picture in my mind with decent results. I'm also more into the technology type rederings, but, since I did get involved in role-playing games such as D&D and Fantasy Hero when I was younger, I enjoyed creating charater sketches for the guys and occasionally turned out a picture or two. Most of my work you'll see here will be either new, or something old that I've cleaned up with the computer. Please offer comments, steal what you want (otherwise it wouldn't be here), and I hope you enjoy my stuff.

I must say I am VERY impressed overall. Your attention to detail is astounding. What I would like to see more of (pleaseplease) is backgrounds. You have the one with the dragon, and I am really impressed with it, but the women are just standing in front of "borders" really.

:-) Eric T. Hansen replies: "Again, I'm not much on backgrounds. The drawings posted are mostly character sketches, so I don't really add a background to them. I'll work on some new ones that have the backgrounds."
