I absolutely loved the book Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It was interesting, intricate and so well written- one of the best fantasy books I have ever read. The magic, history and culture that he wove into the story really gave it life and dimension, and the relationship between Saphira and Eragon really stuck with me. This was a scene I couldn’t forget from the story; out of danger, at least for now, Eragon enjoys a nights sleep with Saphira watching over him. I really tried to capture the love and peace that Saphira was feeling while watching Eragon sleep safely. ^_____^ EEEHHH fuzzies! (Eragon characters copywrite Christopher Paolini… who is amazingly talented and I want to marry him ~,^) I made this after Pinkie and the Wyrsa, so this was my third sculpture using sculpy, and I definitely think it’s the best thing I have ever made. I put a lot of detail into the back spines, the muscles, pose, and spent a lot of time on the wings. (If your wondering how I made the wings basically I made wire and tinfoil fingers, then rolled sculpy really thin to simulate leathery wing skin and grafted it on. I then bended/ posed the wings, so the wing skin sagged and folded in a realistic way, and it also provides a cool transparency.) Lotsa work, but I loved every minute of it. 4in high by 7 across. Now I am torn- do you think I should paint it??? Any suggestions as to how or with what? Please help and comment ^_^
