| 29 Jun 2004 | Mom | Loading...Well this poor little fella hasn't had anyone do the first comment dance for him so here I go just dancin' away. I love the texture (looks like scales) and his horns are very interesting. Quite an interesting concept. I'll have to make sure I don't step on any of these in my garden Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Aww... someone likes him after all! It's my mom, so she has to like everything I do.... ^_^ I think maybe I need to post better photos of him, 'cuz I really like him too but he's not getting many comments. He does look better in person... or should I say, "in dragon-snail?" He's a little "cuter" than I wish, meaning more "Disney," I guess, than I like to do. (Nothing wrong with Disney; it's just not my style.) Oh well, we'll see if more people leave comments. Thanks Mama! ^_^" | |
| 13 Oct 2004 | Burcu KINAY | Loading...nice and funny I would like to see one of them to breathe fire. Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I'm glad you see the humor in it, too. He is not a serious dragon. I can imagine this guy suddenly burping a little burst of flame and being very surprised... ^__^ " | |
| 6 Jul 2005 | Anonymous | Loading...I really like this one! You did the horns SO well! The colours too are amazing! Keep it up! Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Thank you! I was very proud of those horns, but they took me forever!" | |

| 12 Jul 2005 | Sheree FLix Boxer | Loading...I love the look of this dragon/snail. The wax medium works really well and I love the colouring that the wax gives it. Could you relieve my curious mind and describe the type of wax used and how? It looks great and I would love to know how it was made. Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Of course! It is beeswax, colored with candle wax dye (basically a colored wax, mixed into the beeswax -- you only need a little). I believe you can get white beeswax, but I started with the normal yellow. I used at least 2 different colors of wax; I started with the green and then added blue. It was melted in an electric skillet, dedicated to the purpose of course, and painted/dripped on with a cheap brush. I think I must have wrapped the horns so they didn't get waxed. Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 16 Oct 2005 | Sara Ann DeVoe | Loading...OMG! This is GREAT! I LOVE IT! I wish I could do cool stuff like that.... Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Thanks Sara! You CAN do stuff like this. Keep drawing, and try sculpting (if you haven't already), and I bet you can do cooler stuff than this, younger than I did. (I wish I had started sculpting when I was younger!) Thanks again!" | |
