"Ymir" is #12 in the Dragon Snail™ series. His pearly ivory skin glimmers in the winter sun. His horns gradiate from medium blue to almost white, and his eyes shine deep blue. His magnificent white shell curves in a gentle spiral. Ymir is named after the father of frost giants in Norse mythology. He is about 4 1/2 inches (11.4 cm) long and 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall.

Polymer clay and real seashell.

Out of all my Dragon Snails™ so far, I love Ymir's face the best. I must confess, it was partly inspired by both the Bajorans and Cardassians from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Mom does the first comment dance! I love this guy, so "cool" looking. He would have made a nice companion for my mother/daughter pair. Keep up the good work baby girl!!

:-) Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Thanks Mom! Isn't he fun? I was sad to sell him, but also happy that someone wanted to give him a good home. 2"

Wise looking indeed... Love the livid blue in the eyes. This is a very beautiful mix of detail and simplicity! The smoothness of the body really contrasts the face. And I like the actual smoothness of the body. I was expecting to notice annoying bumps or prints in it but it looks just like a slimy slug body. Love the head horn things!

:-) Erin ´EireWolf´ Metcalf replies: "Thank you Emily! I appreciate the detailed comment. These little guys are fun to make!"
