A picture drawn for dragon studies by one of my characters, Ariel, who is a dragon jockey - well, they're not really called that, but he races his dragon Raisah in tournaments. Anyway, this dragon isn't Raisah, this is Llian, a young male Wyvern that belongs to Ariel's trainer, Bane.

Done in pencil and touched up by photoshop. You'll notice the edges of the paper went a bit weird when I darkened the contrast  to make the colors better after the scanner dulled them. . . just ignore that.

mayb it would help if the colors blended 2gether mor, I’m not sure. The head looks really good!

:-) Erin M Latimer replies: "Yah thanks, I don’t work with pencil a lot, at least not colored pencil, I prefer watercolor pencils or watercolor paints, so I do find blending i difficult. Oh well! Practice makes perfect! Thanks for your comment! 12"

Ooo... Good coloring! 18
I love the posture of the dragon. And the wings look amazing! I find dragon wings extremely difficult to draw! 17

:-) Erin M Latimer replies: "Thanks! 12 Yeah I reackon his head it the best part . . . 14 And tell me about it! You’d think dragon wings would be easy, just a few curvy lines here and there - but it can be so frustrating sometimes trying to make it look right! 16"

Actually one of the better drawings of dragons I’ve seen because of the angle. I don’t see flying dragons at this angle too much.

The "mistake" you made with the contrast give me an idea. Maybe you could use Photoshop to add an aged look to the page instead. Try a sepia look too, or burned edges if you have that feature.

:-) Erin M Latimer replies: "Hey, thanks John!! 1 1"
