"Stillness" by Erik Hunger

In a creative mood, I offered to write out a 'fragment' of a poem and show it to a friend. By the time I was done writing I had the whole thing. Edited the last couple lines and voila.

Stillness

Between the still waves of desert sand
held underneath the starry sky
I'll wait for you and pray
you'll come safe to me
next to me
remembered touch commands
and my heart listens
pulling you here
willing you here
to meet, to be
underneath the wayward moon
where the end of dreaming lies.
