Guess you can tell I like centaurs. In this one, I tried to get the feeling of the way they walk, shifting the weight, the way their anatomy would work. I also wanted to draw attention outside the frame, to bring you into the fantasy.

Hard to find anatomic integrity in centaurs like this. One of the best centaur arts I’ve ever seen, and I’ve gleaned the Net for centaur art. Bravo! Very well done. Wish I could do work like this....

I love this picture. Its great insperation for anyone who wants to draw centaurs. Love this picture. I already said that didn’t I.

lovely, though I’m not convinced by the lighting. The moon would have a soft glow around it rather than be a stark white ball, and you have painted this guy and his immediate environment in daylight, at noon, from the lack of shadows. In moonlight, foliage would have a lot more blue in it, and there would be deep shadows, also since the moon is behind him, why is he lit from the front ?
Otherwise, beautifully rendered 2

Hmmmmmmmmmmm - could be the afterglow of sunset? Full moon in the east - sunset in the west? Only need a glow around the moon if the atmospheric conditions are right. The one I saw Friday (full moon at its perigee - rare event - biggest and brightest we’ll see again til 2016) didn’t have a glow around it. And it looked like daylight in MY yard ;-)

Could also be a little thing they call ’artistic license’ 1

But I always appreciate the laws of physics being pointed out to me - being a science fanatic myself. Thanks

Great work with anatomy! Although, I think it looks a little like a picture taken in a studio, because it’s too lightful too be a real night in a forest..

I have to agree thats it is too bright to be a night scene. What a great job otherwise. Awesome work.
