Sometimes I can manage a passable horse--though not usually realistic...

this is beautiful, you have your colours down!!! and the foals expression of intense concentration, adorable! yes the neck may be a bit bendy for an ordinary horse, but this sin't one, and i think it gives it a slightly stylized look, like it comes from an old illustration for one of those books with all the creatures in whose name i can't recall! beautiful 2

Love the picture. ADORE the picture. You'd be crazy not to. Anyway, I've added it to my Unusual Horses of Elfwood tour. Can I have the foal when he/she's grown up? =)

This is a remarkable picture. Shows great movement and style. I really think that you should do more like this and not worry so much about realistic. Who wants to live in a world where everything is realistic and boring? Me im happy living in my fantasy bubble amists a realistic world.

Your pegasus is beautiful. Please don't change your style, or let other people tell you how to "improve" it. I prefer it this way. I draw unicorns similarly, with long limbs, skinny, graceful, and not because I don't know how to draw a realistic horse. Anyways, a beautiful picture! bravo. 2

Well, I do have horses, but I really don't feel like criticizing. The the foal is actually quite in proportion and realistic looking. As most people know, there are different types of horses, and a pegasus is going to look different, not to mention that it's fantasy, and I haven't ever seen one, so I don't know if it actually looks like a horse or not. The only problem with the mare is that her lower neck has too much bend. The wings are superb, and the color is fantastic. Do you use color pencils, I assume? Or am I totally wrong?

bah.. all of you that think that this can be impoved upon are high on stuff.. See, not only is it a pegasus but there is also something called artist liscence so if this isn't exactly like your style of pegasus and you think that you could draw it better, stop and try enjoying it simply for what it is, not what you could make it. By the way, i love the feather's of the wings. Very very cool.

purhapse not true to life, but a wonderfull stylized horse....the swan like head and neck bring to mind the grace of an arabian horse (thats a breed of horse for thse that dont know) I love them both..and the little pain foal is adorable.
