After having read Carl Jung, Scott Cunningham, C.S. Lewis, and a little bit of Joseph Campbell, I've discovered a profound truth about myself: I have way too much time on my hands! Interpret this however you will--I'm confused enough already.

reminded me of the "Neverending Story" not the movie(s) the book....If you own an orgional hardback copy (or have found it in the library) you will see that it has type in 2 different colors (three near the end i think) and the book itself exactly matches its description inside of it....anyway this reminded me of it because of the Auryn ....two serpents, one light, one dark, grasping eachother's tail....ok, so this is only one serpent....but if you reead the book you would know the significance anyway.

It does bear a striking resemblance to Yggdrasil, the World Tree in Norse mythology. Especially with the blue spiralling design... it is said the roots of Yggdrasil held the Well of Urd, the waters of fate and wisdom. Wonderful symbolism in your piece, even if unintentional!!

My own personal interpretation is the tree being life and the blue pool representing creativity thriving with the tree.

I cant honestly even say that I like this, but it does something to me. I don't know why but I just keep staring at this design & I definitely think you are talented. Its rare when something like this makes such a strong impression emotionally, & I want to congratulate you for creating something that has this effect.

The "blue spiral" fom which the tree is drawing its sustenance looks like the maze on the floor of Chartres Cathedral - an ancient way of "finding your center". Beautiful.
