Tag As FavoriteComment		Where have all my leaves gone? Where the warmth of summer? Will it ever be back again? The soul of the tree lying cold and exaust, drained and lonely. I wished that you couldn't say if the tree was dead or not, but that you could feel cold and silence around it. This is an engraving (acquaforte, I don't know the name in English) I made at school on spring 2000. I have just replaced the scanning of the engraving with one of the sketch I made for it, that I prefer very much!

This is great, the lights and darks work wonderfully here. A great deal of emotion despite the fact you can't see it's face.

First one I decided to look at, heh... Now I know why you liked my treepic so much. Although I'm sure this scan does not give enough credit to the original. The tree is distinctly individual, not just a "stock" tree, and the figure blends in just fine. Aquatint? Huh, my own efforts with engravings ended when after a week's course I was able to produce something that looked like a bad photocopy... I just can't "see" how it should be done right. So I bow before anyone who does.

When the summer comes, the trees protect me and when they have leaves they wave at me, and when the leaves stop comming the tree returns to the earth so that the tree can teach other trees to break threw the earth so that they might someday teach me to do the same for them.
