SciFi and Fantasy Art An Angel by Eliera Diego

I was listening to a song called Legacy by Ryan Farish when this lovely angel popped out. I don't know if the song has any true significance to the piece, but I think it sort of matches the emotions I wanted in it pretty well. Both the song and this piece make me happy, though I know that there are a few problems in the piece (take not enough body shading for example), but I like it! It also took me long enough to figure out the anatomy, being that I have never actually drawn a "chest" before this, so don't be too harsh about her!

All your stuff is very good. Shadeing will add more depth but do what is you. I "smudge" the crap out of my stuff but that's me... you gotta do you. Please keep up the great work! 13 Aug 2007	Vilhelmina Ullemar	Loading... I was wondering how I was going to comment on the chest without sounding weird - so thanks to you for bringing it up! Yes, it's well done - I can hardly believe it's your first. You must have a very well trained eye! I don't think the body is that lacking in shading, though, at least not relatively speaking, seeing as there isn't a lot in any area of the picture. It looks like you left it out on purpose, which is perfectly fine in my opinion. Sometimes, admittedly, it can make pictures look flat, but your lines are smooth and natural enough to avoid this. This is such a pretty drawing - I adore the wings by the way! Eliera Diego replies: "Ha! A well trained eye, eh? Well I'm sure it doesn't help much that I'm also a woman... Huh, well I never really thought about "flat" but now that you speak of it I see what you mean. As for leaving it out on purpose, well we'll just leave it at that. 30 Sep 2007	Kim Schoonover (Darth Maul´s scary sister)	Loading... For some reason, her skirt reminds me of a giant leaf... O_o Anyway, have a cake. For being amazing, because the picture, as far as I can tell, doesn't really have any flaws; the skirt is odd, but not overly implausible. Eliera Diego replies: "Huh, a giant leaf, eh? Alrighty! I don't mind at all- being compared with a leaf is WAY better than would it could have been. But thank you, and I'm glad you like it! I'm getting ready to do a whole re-do/fix up on my gallery, so I'll find a way to make the skirt less leaf-ish and more skirt-ish. "
