SciFi and Fantasy Art horrible borrible by Elin Eriksson

This must be the very first Borrible art here in the woods. For you who don't know, The Borribles are a trilogy of quite disturbing children's books, if they can be called that, written by Michael de Larrabeiti. I picked up the books on a sell out at the local library and was surprised at how .. well weird they were. The borribles are small childlooking creatures with pointy ears who can be pretty cruel when they feel like it. In the first book, our hero Borribles go on a journey to overthrow and massacre a community of super cuddly creatures, called the wombles, who reminds quite a bit of teletubbies, while dealing with corruption and betrayal among themselves. It's like a darker version of Peter Pan. This is supposed to be Chalotte, one of the main characters.

Have never seen any other Borrible art either, and don't think I've ever come across anyone else who's read the books! - but this is exactly how I imagined them. You've really caught the attitude, and yay for the catapult! And I love the expression on her face. Great drawing. Going to go look at the others now.
11 Nov 2003	Sara	Loading... I like the expression in this. She's looking right at you, and from her face and her readied weapon, I would do my best to avoid her. It's not one of those "I'm VERY scared of you" avoidance things, it's more of a "I could try to take you on, but it wouldn't be a pleasant situation for me at all" thing. I like the shading, it's very well done. wants her hat
