Erin E Ewer replies: "yes i always felt that thin tails didnt make the mermaid look like she could swim very well.... i would think that being in the water and needing a powerful tail to propel a much-heavier-than-a-fish-human-upper body... one would need a very strong and robust tail. thank you "
