A young and very unsocial red dragon has sensed something suspicious in his lair, and it's certain that this "something" is really looking for a trouble.

And the story behind this picture is simply: the artist was bored and frustrated since she couldn't draw anything super cool, and so she decited to do something easier, meaning dragons. The colours came out more "cartoonish" than it was meant to be, but in fact they look nice so...at least in my opinion.

Wow! I think this is super cool! I like the crouching pose of the dragon, he looks as if he had been lying there qite relaxed only an instant before and is now a little bit raised from the ground, ready to attack any intruder! Yay.

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "That was something what I hoped to achieve. Thanks for your comment."

Beautiful dragon. I love the detailing on his face. The way the muscles are visible is really cool. Also, I like how you did the curlse of steam from his nostrils.

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Thank you for your comment! I’m happy you like face and mucles since they’re both things I’m working with (especially muscles...they’re the hardest part in dragons, lots to improve)."

This a real masterpiece. Your dragon is so .... Dragon. I wish I had your talent at drawing so beautiful and detailed dragons. Bravo Elina excellent work!!!

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Thank you very much! I’m into dragons so they come up pretty easily. Shame that many other things - such as human figures - are’t that easy to me."

If this is "cartoonish," the Cartoon Network desperately needs to hire you! Seriously, this is awesome.

:-) Elina Vähä-Mäkilä replies: "Yes, they should, I so want to be a cartoonist! Thank you, for your comment."
