about the picture:

Blossom is a character from a fantasy story of mine set in the modern-day world. I can't share the story quite yet though (it's about witchcraft, and it's not exactly finished yet). There are symbolic elements in the painting as well, but without knowing the story they won't make any sense so for now I'll keep those to myself.


technical blurbs

This was really a bit of a challenge for me. I wanted to test myself and see if I could paint a picture from start to finish without using any references because I feel I am too reliant on them. I ended up taking a snapshot of my arm anyway though..

Approximately 20 hours. Not bad considering how much time I spent changing and fixing things.
