A rather dark fairy fantasy vampire for Valerie! (What is your last name?!?) The character is copyright to Valerie.

 

This isn't at all how I pictured the character, really. But I went on a process of discovery, trying to find a new way to depict a vampire without the fangs that everyone does, and so I went with the whole transforming into dark creatures thing that my latest trend seems to be.  There are a few more versions of this char in the works that depict him differently. He doesn't have crazy wings - they were initially just going to be more clouds of bats, but I got sick of doing bats, and I realised that too much bat-cloud could possibly be a bad thing.

 

I was very much inspired by the Darkness comic and French style gargoyles! They are alive!!

This is the best vampire picture I have seen in a long while - as you said people always show the fangs, this is much more powerful for not doing that.

wow...just wow...he’s GORGEOUS! i think any more bat cloud would have been too much, i think the amount you have is juuuuust right. i also LOVE the perch he’s sitting on. one more thing i’d like to comment on...i like how his feet and the lower part of his body is kindy blurry, like he’s not all there

really like how you did not use fangs here. i think that to many rely on the use of fangs to pull the picture across as a vamp. you did an amazing job with this. wonderful setting too!!
