Character portrait for A. Childs. Well, a very french, very Napoleonic inspired costume affair-thing set in one of my own created realms of Faerie, which is more gothic and grecian.  The character is of a variety of fae that have pointed ears and draconic wings, as you can see (well, not the wings, the wings are hidden in the cloak, yeah.)  He's a very physically imposing and yet refined character, and I really wanted to convey this, so I centered the composition around him.

And who says something has to be in colour because it is digital? I like the black and white.  No, you may not colour this!

April 2006.

You did a truly amazing job on the horse. This is an incredible rendering of an Arabian.

I think that some scenes looke better in black-and-white, myself. Some also look better in sepia. It all depends on the mood of the picture, and black-and-white suits the mood of this picture perfectly 1

I agree with Twyla and the anonymous above her! You did an amazing rendering of an Arabian horse, and some pictures get fore feelings to then when only black and white! I also like the Napoleonic style - keep it up!

Fantastic. My favorite detail in this is the fog-faded building in the background. It certainly adds to the mystery of the piece. The horse’s mane is beautiful. Lovely work!
