| 26 Nov 2005 | Robin Butler | You asked me to come give you a gallery critique, so here I am! The best advice I can give you for detail is to take your sweet time. Never rush yourself, and if you don't have it in you to draw something, set it down for a while and go back to it later, when you're ready to pay full attention to it. When I do details in my drawings, I'm constantly thinking of logic, even if it doesn't show in the end result. Such as - what would a traveller need to be carrying in the wilderness? A money pouch, a backpack with food, a skinning knife for hunting, salt, etc... That's where I get my costume details from. The rest of it just comes from my head, as your characters do. When it comes to drawing hands, you're doing fine. You just need to keep practising! But here's a link I thought might be useful to someone trying to teach themselves - http://www.deviantart.com/view/12467468/ Basically, just use your own hand or a friend's hand as reference, and draw a page full of just hands in different positions. It helps. Hope I could be of some use. Collette J Ellis replies: "Thankyou so much for taking the time to look, I realy appreciate ur advice and I will use it in the future. I looked at the link and it is gr8! Thankyou again,Collette " | |

| 2 Jul 2008 | Weise Lehrerin | Oh yes, your raven song picture. You see, one of my favorite animals as well as another of my totem animals is a raven, whilst my friend - Miranda - her most favored animal as well as her dominant totem is a wolf. Extremely symbolic to me. | |
