This piece was made for a contest on DeviantArt organised by Mia, a wonderfull equine artist herself, who I actually - ironically enough - came to know trough Elfwood. I won the contest with this piece but I have still yet to see the prints she promissed me haha... Oh well, I have a nice picture to show as result from participating .. I guess that makes up for part of it hehe. I believe the character she asked us to draw was based on some kind of series or stories.. but I have no idea.. she just gave us a discription and that was all I went with. I'm not especially fond of the smudgy shading but I guess thats a point of improvement for me.

I dont think the shadings smudgy! I think the shadings brilliant. I couldnt do it!

Oooooh. I like. I’m on a mountain kick atm; can’t seem to stop drawing them. LOL. So this is wonderful. And the horse is beautiful too. Love the markings and color. ^.^ Love this pic, in its entirety. Just beautiful work. 1
