| 4 Sep 2008 | Alexandra M. Malmquist | Loading...hey, thanks for commenting on my gallery as fot the tips you asked me for, ive looked through your gallery and many of your drawings are very pretty and very good. So there are a few tips i can give you:
1. Look at a lot of photographs and think about what you see, look at what the light does to faces and clothes, look at the smallest details and try to catch all that when you draw, but these things always take a huge ammount of time, it takes years (not that im an expert or anything).
2. Don’t be afraid to make the colours and the shades a lot darker because it’s when you can see a big difference between the dark and the light that creates an illusion of depth.
3. Look at other artists drawings (it helps more than you think). Whats so great about that is that they’ve already done the work, so basically you can just look at what they did, try to see how they did it and use what you’ve seen to improve your own artwork.
I really hope that you can find the tips helpfull, its not really easy to explain but to make it short: watch closely and note all the little details. Sherri Leigh Pincince replies: "oooo your tips (just like your art work) are awesome!!! I appreciate any and all help... I will seriously take your advice to heart and try to put those tips into practice " | |
