A multitude of rings am i but never a fit gift for a bride i wait for the kiss of a sword what am i? | |
| 3 Aug 2011 | Emily Rose Colwell | Loading... Soon to be a shining and lovely bride With hair like silk and face ashine But this joy would soon flee as the tide When things would become not so fine. Let us not speak of sorrows yet Let joys unfold and hope abound A husband for Medusa has been met For her a soulmate has been found To Athena’s temple Medusa’s gone To praise and thank her for every thing When his shadow halted the dawn Poseidon’s shade made joy take wing With the smell of the sea he came Desire etched in every line of his face He was Poseidon, all men knew the name Azure cloak, shining aura, and sea foam lace Poseidon was a man in every way Medusa was a woman in her blosoming time He was hated, wanted, and feared by his prey Such scrumpcius prey...’twas a crime Then, on the temple’s sacred floor Medusa was taken in body, spirit, and soul She took him till she could take him no more Medusa’s beauty and innocence Poseidon stole ...and he was gone..... Medusa was alone but that’s not all Defilement of home caused Athena’s fury Lovely Medusa was cursed for her fall A curse was bestowed with no thought of Jury Medusa, with a future so bright Was doomed to be a monster for life Ever more against life would she fight Betrayed by her goddess, a heart of strife .....Medusa died long before Perseus took her head...
