I am forgotten in time,
Trying not to steal, but keep,
What is rightf'lly mine.
I feel as if I am to fall in a swirlin' rhythm,
To lose all the days and years count,
And pay the price of a huge amount.

I have forgotten the time,
When I shall be released.
I know not what age it is,
It may be day or night in the least.

My crumbling past from hundreds of years,
Is tearing my gloomy future apart.
And my mind is making everything I own,
Part of thy’s black melancholic heart.
The widows who roam the streets are so utterly afraid,
But know they're still loved by their past devotees.
Unlike you, I have nothing left.
Everything is heartlessly kept from me.

The wizards from other worlds would not save me,
The witches in the navy skies did not care.
To the fall forest elves I held no magic,
Though I smelled sweet in the air.
And that's when Hades' vampires came,
Biting at thee forcef’lly with fangs so sharp;
Even though I begged them to leave thee be…
They did not listen or understand me.

I have forgotten all centuries time,
Generations time has forgotten all me,
I love you,
Don't you see?
When I came to you for help,
My body couldn't help it, your face so perfect and your skin so soft,
And mine ivory fangs sunk in.
My face ashen pale;
Yours a cold, bloodless blue,

I loved you.

The rhymne of this poem seems to be a little obvious, as in you rhymne words like me, see, and be. But other then that, I think that this is a really lovely little poem. The rhythme is really nice and it has that same pretty, eerie dream feeling. I like it!-Nods- I'm not a big poem person, that's why! ^_^
-Hugs- Thank you though! Go see that picture, it's to die for o_o

oo, very nice. So cold, yet I almost feel pity. I lke the sentence variation; it takes away from the semi-obvious rhymes. Great description and emotion, I like it. Thanks!Too bad when I wrote this I couldn't decide on my number of stanza's or whether I wanted a rhyme or slant rhyme ^_~

I can see from the pic why you were inspired to write this! And your poem captures the feel nicely too 1 I liked the tone of this and I'd love to see some unrhymed poetry from you (I'm not a big fan of rhymed, usually, but some of it is certainly cool). Nice! 1 I'm working on that dryad poem, unrhymed and all, just for you, dear Damien ^_^

Yes! This is incredible. And I can see where the inspiration hit, looking at the referenced artwork. Very gifted read, I'm glad I found it. Thank you for being so kind 2

Wow! Emily the poet! I'm very very impressed, its excellent, much better than anything my twisted little mind could dream up! Quite long, too, which I actually find better in a poem, although maybe not those sagas that're like a book long! *hehe* I love the lexical choice (can you tell i've been doing too much collegework recently???) and the flow of it, bit like a song really, dunno why I got that impression, but seems like it. Couldn't get through to the picture though - would like to see the inspiration - I know how it is, I often get inspired from a picture to write, and vice-versa ^^
Keep up the poetry matey!!-Grumbles- I really HATE poetry though. I have one other poem up here (which was written by much force, blood, and tears), and I think that's all that I'll ever post on Elfwood. I HATE WRITING POETRY. Reading it is not so bad, especially T.S. Eliot -nodnod-. Glad you read it... again? YAY. COLLEGE. At least you made it 10 I still have like a million years of high school left!
