This drawing turned out almost exactly the way I wanted it to, which rarely happens to me and is ample cause for celebration when it does. I'm sure I'm going to have someone insisting, despite the evidence to the contrary, that this magnificent beast is not a unicorn, and how dare I insult the unicorn species by posting this drawing, but this is what I imagine a living unicorn would look like: wild, and even majestic, but not pretty.

Actually have you ever seen a Narwhale? they have a horn just like a Unicorn is pictured to have in fantasy and they actually sold the horns to idiots back in the day as unicorn horns.

You like hybrids, don't you! But that's cool. Hybrids are fun. Love the pic!

This is the coolest picture. It's got to be one of my favorite unicorns in the woods. And like the red color you used.

I think all unicorns should look like that. It would do the world a lot of good

I love it and think it is very beautiful.
And by definition it is a unicorn.Unicorn means
"one horn" and there is actually a living unicorn on this planet, have you heard of it? It is called the narwal, i think it is related to the whale,or is one. It has a single horn protruding from its skull. But the idea of the unicorn is beleived to have first been derived by traders who crossed the desert and saw a species related to the gazelle, whos two horns are near parallel so when viewed from the side it appears that they have a single horn
Sorry! I'm rambling, i hope you find that interesting rather than annoying!Actually . . . a narwhal (which is a toothed whale, like a beluga or orca) doesn't qualify for unicornhood, even by my very relaxed standards, because its "horn" is, in fact, a tooth. But there is some speculation that some unicorn legends may have originated with the narwhal, as its very impressive tusk is long, straight, and twisted, as the mythical unicorn's horn is often depicted. It's not hard to imagine someone finding one on a beach somewhere and speculating about the fantastic beast that might have once carried it. (And don't worry about the rambling. Clearly, I do it, too. All the time.)

But if all unicorns looked like that, then people would get as tired of them as they are of the cut and paste ones. This is awsome work. Im adding it to a tour!

You've got a point; I guess nothing in legends really turned out to be as beautiful as everyone said. I mean look at the mermaid/sea cow mistake. ^_^ I love the idea and I think it's actually beautiful in it's own way. Good job.
