4 Aug 2004	Kyrissean	Loading... It's interesting to see how phoenixes are depicted. To the Chinese it was more of a peacock-like bird, and to the Greeks and Europeans it was a fiery eagle. I like this one - the pheonix is meant to depict grace and beauty as well as power, which a heron-type shorebird would. And the coloration is just amazing.
