This little portrait actually started out as a line drawing of a whitetail deer's skull . . . which shows that nothing channels creative energy quite like a few thousand tiny pencil strokes.

I´m greatful that at least one person doesn´t think that unicorns are just horses with horns. There is a sweet intelligence in this graceful creature's eyes.

The silent wind blows across the savanna. A young stallion lifts his massive head from the ground to test the air. Electromagnetic charges flow from his horn into the blackened sky. A storm approaches....

Beautiful picture! I think it is one of my favorites that you have done. Keep up the fabulous work!

Wow! The hair on his face is just so scruffy and tough. Looks like a stubborn little mountain unicorn. And the MANE! it looks like silk! The texture is excellent, and the proportions are lovely.

Wow *starts drooling*

I've tried for a long time to create a photorealistic non-horse-with-a-horn unicorn, but nothing I've ever done has come close to this! Marvelous!

I love the fuzziness of him! The hair on his face is wonderful. I'm also in love with the horn -- how it's not spiral, and it looks like a real horn with the texture and color variation.

One tiny criticism I have... and this is not at all about your drawing ability, which far surpasses my own... The neck and mane seem incongruous with the head. He looks like he has a nicely trimmed bridle path (or maybe the mane is flipped over to the other side; I don't know). But the neck seems too smooth and well-groomed for the head. Make sense?

Even with all that, I really love this unicorn. He's like something I'd expect to find on the plains of Africa.

Up in northern wisconsin the deer are practically TAME so... I have to point out a tiny detail. (Just being picky! I love this one as well! It was just hard for me to see any kind of deer in this unless I looked at the nose)
On the top of the nose, maybe not quite so rounded ^upward and it may look more like a deer.
Ignore me all you wish. I'm just being stupid! hehe!
