Ivory

Iv’ and Wit

Sun touched hair and silvery eyes –
Womanly grace quite pushed aside.
Feelings of darkness in her reside –
In creature if iv’ and wit.

Remarks flung with careless absence –
And blacker things that she can sense.
Porcelain doll, I’d bet not two cents –
On this creature of iv’ and wit.

Love she seeks yet pushes away –
All light emotions kept at bay.
Words we want to but can’t; she can say –
She, this creature of iv’ and wit.

Whole but not is how she remains –
To we, naught’s wrong, it all seems same.
Inside, herself, is who she does blame.
Her own creature of iv’ and wit.

Nocturnal Creeping

When sun has set and people quiet,
Shadow bathed and fire lit, she slinks.
Vertigo spills from rims of drinks,
Drunken stupor are imagined –
Realms of your mind are quite unfathomed.
Marbles 'pon ebon jewels, to the floor sink,
When sun has set and people quiet.
Shadow bathed and fire lit, she slinks.

Strides are paced, in mind a riot –
Careful is she, no clumsiness jinx,
Bordering along moonlight's brinks,
A sweet aria and wistful duet –
When sun has set and people quiet.

Well I cannot do much more than agree with Megan and Anouk here. Write more about her, I'd say. You can never put too much effort into builing a characters personality. I did the same with a character of mine, or am still doing..not sure really.

Almost reminds me of a Grecian-type play. Where the character moves about, does things, and the chorus or narrator speaks a blurb or several of the character. Very good. Both! 2

I loved Nocturnal Creeping ! Damn, it is beautiful.. Its subject, word use and harmony, I adore it.. 2 Very very well done.. Those ' nocturnal, vertigo, stupor and wistful ' words are so close to my fave vocabulary.. Really beautiful..
