"Masquerade - Gaia" by H. England

Okay, the first time I uploaded this the Mod rejected it. Not sure why. Maybe I wasn't specific enough in the description?

New description: This is a character from a sci-fi story that I'm currently writing. I repeat, sci-fi. And kinda fantasy, but not really... anyhoo, I'm planning on having all of my main characters in masquerade costumes at some point. She's just the first.

UPDATE: since writing this I have read an excellent book about writing Sci-fi and Fantasy stories that informed me that SF and F are two entirely separate genres. As for my story, I feel like I have to identify it as one or the other. So it's a... um... SF? I think...

Obviously I need to do some more reading, lol
