SciFi and Fantasy Art ´Leah, Leah!´ by Erin Nagy

There is entirely not enough Shannara artwork out there. That being said, this would be Quentin Leah from Terry Brooks' Isle Witch, screaming his war cry and fighting off a 'ribbon of fire'. Though I based the Sword of Leah off that in the World of Shannara book, the rest of his design is all me. I've wanted to illustrate this part since I read the book back in 2001, but never got around to/finished it until now. Oops.

I really like the pose in this one, and the way the background's blurry...but most of all, I like the red beam things. They're just so...GLOWY! does the glowy things dance Erin Nagy replies: "They is 'ribbons of fire' (lasers), made of like a gajillion layers of red lines. Or maybe three. Glad ya like! ^-^"

No author except the great Tolkien beats Terry Brooks, and I finally found other artists who realize so (well, or close to that... ^^ Haha, thank you, you just made my day be soooooooo much better! vale Erin Nagy replies: "Oh my, thank you so much! Making someone's day makes my day. ^-^ And eventually, I may post another Shannara pic... just have to get around to sketching out the whole composition and stuff (ie I have one one the go... somewhere...)."

There's this really fine line between fan art and illustration. This is illustrating a part of a book, so it goes here. However, had it been him doing something that didn't happen in the book, then it would go in FanQuarter. I think. Anyway, thanks!"

Like the way you've done the sword of Leah, Just as Allanon enchanted it, the swirling depths of the Hadeshorn etched on the blade... oooo Erin Nagy replies: "Thanks! I got the hilt from the picture in the World of Shannara book, but the blade was silver, and, I mean, it has to be black with green swirlies... Glad you think it worked out."

I think it goes Menion, Rone, Morgan, and Quinten Erin Nagy replies: "How could you hate the Leahs?! SO cool. Anyway, yeah, that's the chronological order (of main Leahs so far)."
