Just a short poem.

The Broken heart will beat once more

When moonlight falls across the grave,

And the earth will open like a door

When turned is one, a life to save.

Stalking silent across the land,

The Broken heart will beat once more.

Enemies and innocents will make a last stand

As those not understood release the gore.

A single mortal he does adore,

Simple truths grow to lies.

The Broken heart will beat once more

When it’s bearer looks to cold skies.

Death comes on swift wings,

For the mortal does abhor

The truth that rings,

And the Broken heart will beat no more.
