SciFi and Fantasy Art Sentinel Senses by Eric Chapman

Hunted and alone even among his comrades, Casey, an old soldier now branded a terrorist by a once free nation turned authoritarian is forced to live moment to moment, knowing he is watched. Thousands seek his blood. Hundreds seek his guidance. They know the truth. They can see through the lies and corruption that permeates their once proud nation of freedom. Now one of that free nation's greatest unknown heroes is thrust into the roll of arch-villan by the same people he once protected. All that remains to be seen is which of his enemies will get to him first.. the agents of the State.. the demons and flashbacks from his past.. or his age and a body that is finally beginning to fail him. Will he become a martyr? the savior of a people? Or will he die in undeserved infamy, branded a murderer and a terrorist for the rest of measured time? ...Some sit back and accept the fate that is handed to them. Others stand up and make their own.

This may be inked and colored in the near future. Completed appx August 29th, 1999.

It's actually really creepy, see, I found this picture while looking for a reference to draw a guy in a ternchcoat for a story that I'm writing. I read your discription and I was shocked to realized that it describes my story perfectly. The only difference is, my guy's an ex-computer-programmer, instead of an ex-soldier. Sweet...
13 Feb 2004	Adrian Ssenkrad	Loading... It does remind me quite a bit of Morpheus from the Matrix trilogy -- I almost expected him to be holding a katana in his left hand. But in any event, the action pose is very well done. I applaud the detail in the trenchcoat creases, as well as the man's face and eyes. Bravo, and I look forward to more.
31 Mar 2004	Emma Siobhan Maclay Jenkin	Loading... silly people in the us army don't know what they're talking about. too busy blowing innocents up. feel free to remove that sentence [and this one] should you feel offended. anyhoo, i really like this. like, i'm just tapping the random button until i see something good enough to comment on. and then WHAM. it's just really good. it has tremendous direction, and isn't completely planar and frontal, like most of the stuff on elfwood. good job.
