So much has changed in the last year or so, I have to update this bio.

I am now 23 years old, and I am no longer trapped in the frosty northeastern section of the United States.. for now, and likely untill some time in 2004, I'm spending most of my time in hot sweaty Florida. I say hot and sweaty because I'm a northerner.. and dammit, I can't cope with the constant 90-something degree weather that comes between late april and late october. Hot and sweaty isn't meant to imply that.. uh.. my social life has gotten drastically better. Fortunately I am spending 3 of the hottest months back home, in the Northeast, where it's at least bearable for me. Why all this climate jumping? Well...

I am now a Sophmore Illustration Major at the Ringling School of Art and Design. I say that now, even though as I write this, I'm in summer break and I don't actually start taking sophmore classes till late August. The work I'm doing now puts this old stuff here to shame, I think, and the only reason I don't post it is because most of the work done during my first year doesn't fit here at all. It's all technical stuff. Figure drawing, still lifes, and the like. This year's work should be more appropriate.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, a year ago, before I started attending Ringling, I said I'd give my opinion after going there for a year.. because I left a rant here for a while about how much I detested art classes with stuck up inept teachers, ie most of them. My experience at a real art school (rather than the local community college) has changed that. I love art school (mostly). I love the people I met. I really loved some of the great teachers. I'm having the time of my life, and they're actually teaching me good stuff here. Mostly. The only downside here is the massive debt I'm going to be in after I get out. $25,000+ a year adds up fast. But, I saw some of the work the senior illustrators did right before I left to come home.. phenomenal. If they'll have me doing that stuff in 3 years, it's worth it, cause I'm sure to get work.

And, if you're wondering, yes, I still spend most of my time in a dark bedroom wishing I had someone to talk to. Dunno why you'd wanna know that.. but hey..

As for Rakkis, the guy who's pretty much turned into my pet character, I'm sorry but no, you can't put him (pictures, story, or anything) on your webpage.. I do NOT give permission to anybody to use rakkis for anything and that's final. He's the one that I keep to myself. If you're interested in any of the others, email me, tell me which one and what it's for, and we'll see. Enjoy
