| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...be not headachy. I am oddness, but ok. I had a very strange Roadwarrioresque dream. I think I had too much sugar earlier^_~ Serves me right for making cookies! Aw... {{hugs}} Be not an oddness! And aye? Anything you care to share? I’ve had the ocean in my dreams a lot lately... but I blame that on tai chi as there is a type of force that is supposed to be like a wave slapping the shore and we’ve been working on that lately^_~ | |
| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...mmm, cookies. oatmeal raisin and pretty much free of everything... (gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, refined sugar, etc.) my first try with coconut flour. Was interesting. Though the folks at the bakery liked them, so they must be decent^_~ *copies and pastes from Em’s page* it was like a weird combination of anxieties, but not unpleasant... well the first part was unpleasant... so in my dream, the economy was even worse off and people were getting desperate. I was on the highway for some reason, when this convoy of renegade guys drove up and stopped a bunch of cars (including mine) at gunpoint, intending to rob us of all of our valuables. (yay, highway robbery in the modern era. *rolls eyes*). So naturally, at first, I am completely panicked because... hey... guys with guns shouting at me and other people. But eventually one of the guys comes up to me demanding anything I have on me and instead of just giving him the stuff as I probably would do in real life (because my life isn’t worth my wallet or jewelry)... I start yelling back at him and haranguing him for being a complete bastard, robbing and traumatizing people. aaaaand instead of shooting me, he decides he likes me (not in a creepy and or sexual way, thank God) and he starts talking to me and explaining why they are robbing people... so we have this... weirdly intense but civil argument where I am trying to convince him that what they can get out of it isn’t worth traumatizing and robbing people, and he’s trying to convince me that they have to because they can’t find work. ...it was very weird. Unfortunately my alarm went off before we could resolve anything. ...so weird. Wow... ... a very weird but thought provoking dream. I wonder where it would have gone... silly alarm clocks >.< But very fascinating... wow. that’s it, basically. {{nods}} Wow. ocean Leigh. ^_^ Serious ocean cravings lately, too... I blame the spring weather. Spring=Cape Hatteras in my house! But Spring=April, too^_~ My sister is in the Bahamas right now... | |
| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...oddness cookies! Apparently tasty, though. ^_~ yeah... I don’t remember my dream from last night... I think I did when I first woke up, but then I just got irritated at the construction sounds at 7AM that sounded too much like my alarm clock and so got me up... they had a squeaky lift, too. And now it is silent. I don’t get it >.< *amused* I don’t think I’ve ever had ocean cravings... now forest cravings? oh yes ^_~ I get both... mostly forest/mountain cravings, but ocean from time to time. That’s why I can’t decide between water and forest... I get lake cravings pretty frequently... big lakes, like Erie, where you can’t see the other side. Right now, though, I would love to dive through a wave^_^ | |
| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...indeed! coconut flour in and of itself sounds tasty to me. They also have coconut oil in them. Coconut flour is tasty... it’s... like toasted, dried coconut. It was more toasted tasting than I had expected, but I suppose they would have to dry it considerably to turn it into flour... I look forward to experimenting with it more^_^ Did you know I’m playing with allergy free food during the Lenten period? That’s why they’re free of most things... gluten free pizza is my next task^_~ maybe they oiled it? Maybe... but as it were, they are putting a roof on the neighbour’s house, and I think all the shingles are up. Now I hear hammers, but before it was silent. ^_^ well you are close to the ocean at least. I’m picky, though... we’re near the sound, but it takes longer to get to the ocean^_~ I actually haven’t seen the ocean while I’ve been over there, how sad is that? ^_~ | |
| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...I figured you were working with allergy-free, but I didn’t know it was for lent. ...do you think you could send some cookies my way? only addie’s mother can’t have gluten and so finding yummy things for her is hard. Aw... how sensitive is she? Only I know gluten can hide in wooden spoons and the like and sometimes it makes people react... if she would be okay with that and that there is wheat in the kitchen I would be glad to. Otherwise I could send recipes if you want so they could be made there... the oat flour I use is not certified, but I could blend some up easily enough... I have certified oats^_^ ah, I see. I keep thinking it’s Em’s dad as I have headphones on and so can’t hear entirely clearly, but now it’s silent again... oddness. that’s pretty sad... I’ve seen the sound, though! It’s pretty pretty, with the Olympic mountains out there... it takes a few hours to get to the ocean, though, you see, and I don’t know how to get there myself and Em works on the days I don’t and I work weekends when she’s free, so there’s been no chance to get there >.< | |
| 13 Mar 2009 | A. Setliffe | Loading...she has selliac’s disease... or however you spell it. she can’t eat things with gluten in them, but she seems otherwise ok. {{nodsnods}} If she’s okay with wheat being in the kitchen, I would be glad to send cookies^_^ hmm. They’re making much progress with the roof... it’s torn off and they’re putting the black pre-stuff down now... should be done soon. ach... you should do something about that. Yeah... this is why Em and I never see each other, though. Our schedules conflict almost exactly. My boss talking about me having Thurs. and Fri. evenings makes me very excited to this end^_^ She even mentioned maybe getting Sundays off, which would be wonderful, so we’ll see, we’ll see. | |

Thought it worth mentioning to you. Comes with recipes from the sound of it, though I make no guarantees to the book’s effectiveness or the recipe’s tastiness. Just thought it sounded like a book you might like to know about/look into.)) | |
