SciFi and Fantasy Art Forbidden Love by Erin J. Kluk

This is an illustration for yet another story idea of mine, which has taken shape fairly recently. And, as the title suggests, the love shown here is forbidden in practically every way conceivable. There skin color is different, if that can be considered forbidden anymore (I hope not), their cultures are different, they're both male, and one is an angel, the other a demon. I guess I like the idea that love can overcome every obstacle. When I sketched this, I was trying to give the angel's features a softer appearance, without making him childish, and the demon's a more sleek, seductive one.

2 Apr 2003	Stephen Michael King	Loading... I like this picture. Most pictures I've seen on Elfwood that involve same sex couples all seem a bit, well, exhibitionistic. However, with this image, you've managed to capture the emotion perfectly. It doesnt seem "in your face", or perverse, or even slightly erotic. It's just an exchange of emotions. I tried to do something similar with one of my images (Impossible Love), and tried to have two males, then two females, but it just didn't work right, they looked to showy, as if they were saying "look at me!", so I just settled for the old fashioned hetrosexuak couple. Very well done, keep up the good work.
