Here we have the finished work, and the first thing that I am mildly proud of in oil pastel! I had fun playing with colors and symbolism in this. I tried to put alot of red in the lower rocks to give a sort of demonic feel, and put some in the lower part of the sky as well. I tried to work it into the moon, but I don't know that it comes across since I thought it looked too much like the sun and so lightened it. Kinda regret that one. I also tried to give it a sort of...well, for lack of a better word, messy look to add to the turmoil of the scene. My major complaint about the completed work is that the wolf seems to get mildly lost in the rock since they have such similar coloring, but we're back to the symbolism thing where I wanted to keep it looking fairly dismal and desolate. I was also saddened by the fact that his eye (which I really was pleased with) got lost a little bit. But overall I like it, so I won't scrap it ^_~ I might come back to it at some point and try to make it better, but we shall see. I've also put the original design up so that you can see the deffinition as it was meant to be. As far as style goes, I tried to branch out from what I usually do and give it an almost medieval look. I also tried to integrate a little bit of borrowed style that I took from my Monica since I like her work so much! As a result it has almost no resemblance to my normal werewolves, ecxept it has a tail and walks n four legs! Haha, yes. Well, I hope you enjoy!
