UPDATE MARCH 2004: Yes, I finally got around to drawing a new version of this! I'm mourning the fact that the scanning changed my lovely bright kelly green into a murky dark green, but you already know I hate my scanner...

The biggest change in this version is the knot colors--in the old one it was shades of green, in this one it's all gold so it'll show up better against the green background...I also changed the sleeves to resemble one of Arwen's I particularly liked in Return of the King. The knotwork pattern is nearly identical to the old one. I like to think the girl's a little prettier in this one *grin*. I left the black and white copy of the old version up in my gallery in case anyone feels like doing comparisons. And it still took just as long as the old one. I was working on this probably an hour or two every day for about a week--you go insane if you work on something like this for too long at one time.

Sorry it's so small...I had to shrink it down quite a bit to make it fit in the size limit.

31 Jan 2005	Lady	Loading... Wow, I thought your other celtic know dress was good, but this is something else Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! As far as the actual knotwork goes, this is almost the same dress as the other one, but I tweaked the overall shape of the dress ) Glad you like it!"

Conley replies: "Well it wasn't from just one specific page actually...just go to any search engine (I usually use Yahoo) and look up "celtic knots"--there's pages and pages of information and pictures of different knots, then it's just a matter of learning how they work )"

Conley replies: "A combination of imagination and research...I gathered the various knots from different websites on celtic knotwork, but I had to use my imagination to put them together in a dress pattern ) Thanks!"

If there's anything I can suggest about it, I'd say you'd get some more practise in drawing faces. Anyway it's still stunning! Thanks for sharing it! Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! Conley replies: "Well, I guess since that's how I drew it, it was a little jarring to have the colors changed so drastically...but if you think it's an improvement, I can happily live with it! ;o)"
26 Jan 2008	Phoenix	Loading... Whoa! That’s the best Celtic Knot Dress EVER! That pretty, deep green is beautiful, no need to fret about it! Oh, and the ONLY thing I can think can use some work is the face. I’m not saying it’s bad, but if you added a little more then - OMG! Look at the shiny brown hair! Ooh, that’s very spiffy! Well the whole thing is spiffy.
