This picture is more about the dress than the girl. This is a concept I've been working on for a while, this is my fourth or fifth draft...I discovered celtic knots are fun to draw, and hey, why not wear them! I have a colored version of this as well, but I'm posting both versions because you can see the detail of the knots better on this one. Also, I don't know how this will look....I had to resize it several times smaller before it was under 150 KB.

ACK! what a beautiful dress! cute pose, simple, but cool 12

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! No one seems to comment much on the pose ;o) In the new version of this dress I'm about to submit, the pose is a little different, but glad you like this one 19) thanks!"

I love that dress. I hate to sound like a critic but the pose could be a little better. or a little different. But Anyways i love this dress i might use it . with the artist's permission.

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Yeah, the pose a little stiff and doll-like, but if you'll check out the new colored version I just posted I changed that 19) As for using it, that depends on just what you want to use it for! If it involves making it into a real dress, be my guest, I'd love to see the results ;o) Anyway, thanks very much!"

That detail is incredible! I've always been partial to Celtic knots, too. Her elbows are too high up, I think. The upper arm should be longer than the lower arm.

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks, nice to know I'm not the only celtic knot lover around here 19) As for the arms...well, usually I make judgments based on my own body, and my upper arms look about the same length as my lower arms...suppose I ought to start breaking out the ruler and making actual measurements ;o)"

Its nice and all.. And im getting into drawing that kind of stuff too... Im starting to draw the dance dresses with the celtic knots in them... I find it all so interesting (but i think im delayed becasue im almost half irish...)

12 Erin N. Conley replies: "I'm sure they're nice! It would be great to design a dress that actually got made and worn by people 19) Thanks for the comment!"

awesome dress!!! love all those details... I want one ^-^

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Me too! Wish I could give you one...but if I were able to actually MAKE a dress like this you wouldn't see me waitressing to pay the bills ;o)"

I absolutely love this dress! The knots look nice, not just thrown in random spots, almost like the design has some sort of symbolism to it.

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Well, I have heard that some of the knots are symbols...who knows, maybe this dress has some sort of message on it 19) "Eat at Joe's" perhaps? ;o) Thanks!"

The body is a little out of proportion, and the points of the sleeves would hang downwards, due to gravity, but gosh, the design is stunning! ^_^ Would you mind if I use it in a picture I'm drawing, (with full credit to you, of course)?

Love it! Best EVER! The only thing is that her arms look like they’re screwed on backwards... But that’s OK!
