Firenze was the only character I wasn't really happy with the movie version of. He was a very peculiar-looking centaur by any measure, and he really didn't fit the later descriptions of him as a 'gorgeous' centaur. Not that my version really does him justice either, but at least he looks like he might attract girls instead of eat them.

Here he is teaching Divination in his enchanted classroom, looking worried as his students look on. I can't remember whether he actually approved of crystal ball-gazing, but it seemed appropriate somehow. I'm not thrilled with how young and vulnerable he looks, but oh well.

Firenze. From Harry Potter. Specifically from Order of the Phoenix, in fact. Hand drawn, then lined and colored in Photoshop.

2 Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! I seem to remember him being described as a palomino with white-blonde hair but I'll go back and check to make sure...glad you like it anyway! 19)"

All the Hogwarts girls go sigh

12 Erin N. Conley replies: "And who can blame them? Many girls love men and love horses, so who can resist someone who's both? ;o)"

This is great. I like the outline of the people in the background. I like how you made him look worried too. You're a great artist.

1 Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! The worried look was unintentional, but I'm glad you think it works 19) Thanks very much!"

This pic bug's me in a scary bad way i dont like it but it's still looks cool though!@_@to bad i dont even know who that is?

16 Erin N. Conley replies: "Was I just complimented or insulted? If you don't know who it is, I assume you've never read the Harry Potter books? Anyway, if I'm being honest, I'm not crazy about this picture myself, but I do wish you would have been more specific about what you don't like about it 19)"

I think your picture is much better than firenze in the movie. Yet, I have an..er..odd question: He is half horse and half man, right? So he has four legs and two arms. But where is his.. well.. thingy? I thought I just asked you because you drew him and so I thought you might know..

12 Erin N. Conley replies: "Thanks! I didn't think the movie version at all fit the book description of him, so I'm glad you like this 19) As for your question, I'm certainly no expert at centaur reproductive systems...but I'd think it would make the most sense to have "those parts" in the same place horses do, personally ;o) But it doesn't matter too much since I don't plan to draw any centaur-themed x-rated pictures any time soon ;o)"

12 Erin N. Conley replies: "Me too, even if I haven't yet mastered drawing them! Thanks!"

Is that the trio in the background? I think I see Harry's glasses, Hermiones (sp?) hair, and well, if those two are there, than the very first student outline, must be ol Ron himself . . . ?Lovely pic . . .I just love centuars. And I think my centauress, Chantilly would like him as well 12
