Hey, lookit that, I just commented here. What do ya know? You suggested I put a portrait up. I did. Tadaaa! I aim to try! Oh, and it's not demonic.. when I was a wee lil un Gambit was my favorite X-man. I had a crush on him.. hell now you'll really change it. Sorry about that.

:-) Zane Ian Aparicio replies: "I had said I'd change it so the irises are white... it was actually changed so that they were still red but more realistic, and the whites aren't still black... they're white... which makes sense... I guess... not modeled off Remmy anymore... though that was the original intent..."

Interesting subject matter, and you have some really nice pieces up. You've done very well with rendering anatomy and applying it to fantasy creatures, which is a hard thing to do.

I'd just suggest your pictures need a little more "fit and finish," so to speak...once you've gotten the basic picture elements down, try to clean up your lines a bit and make it a little smoother.

All your color work seems to have come out a bit dark. Of course, it's rather rich of me to comment on color at all since I just don't do color. :-P

All in all, very nice work, and I hope you'll add more to your gallery!

:-) Zane Ian Aparicio replies: "I blame the computer at which I was working... as far as touch up goes, I intend to do that... I just haven't gotten to it yet..."

Great work! I like the riddles in the dark one...

:-) Zane Ian Aparicio replies: "thank you. a lot of people do... I think I might do more like it... it was a very interesting concept..."

heya! you visited my gallery some weeks (months?) before, and gave me a name for my little creatures! you still remember? "MERP(s)"...i liked this name so very much, that i was going to give it to them, and i wanted to thank you very very much...every comic i am going to create with this creature i will include your name as some kind of special thanks in my credits! i hope its ok to you 12

...well and your drawings: its good that you are going to colorize them up, its better to begin early! so u will not got problems like i do, in colorizing my drawings...dont stop and keep your style, ill go to visit you sometime for some advices...and the very best advice i can give u know is: try to observe drawings of other artists and the world around you for to get your drawings more detailed, try to look at every single part and even things u never would look thru, and dont be shy to copy sometime some really good drawings (such as in comics for example)...just change some parts with your own ideas or something, its a very good method of learning basics... 12

:-) Zane Ian Aparicio replies: "Thank you for all of your advice on my pieces. It would give me great honor to be given special thanks for the name, whether in one or all of your comics. A couple of my friends make that noise, in person, and type it out the way I did when they email me or chat with me online. I thought it would be a good creature name. It is my firm belief that any help given to anyone by anyone should be credited to the helper, but I leave that choice to the helped. Thanks again"

Zane,
It was nice to see you today. The additions to your collection show improvement. Good for you. I hope you continue to sharpen your skill by exposing yourself to other artists and teachers. Always be a student and you will continue to evolve. Michael

Hi,
I really like your gallery. I wanted to write something that would help(I'm a girl who likes to help others) but this is all I could think of:
I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times. But what I find sometimes helps me(if i can't get a certain part), is to find something that looks very close t what you want and trace just enough to help you with it. Also if you really want to draw, but don't know what to draw, just look around you, listen to what's going on. This usually helps me when I have artist's block!
Well I hope this helps!2

Hey there, thought i’d drop you a comment to say that I think your art is awesome, you’re very talented! It’s excellent work, you master what I cannot grasp quite yet...
Oh and by the way, the main character of a story I’m writing is named Zane 2
not that you should care, just thought I’d say it. But anyways, great work, keep it up!
