I've been working on a painting sort of like this, same sort of face rising out of the water thing...But you've done it perfect. I can't believe nobodys commented on this, it's spectacular...

This is....amazingly beautiful. I simply love it.
I've always lived the idea of waternymphs...undines... Especially the ones that are not compared to mermaids. And, of cours, the perfect blue coloring doesn't bring it down either. ;P

:-) Erika Schulz replies: "Yes! I understand competely about the mermaid thing. I really wanted her to be more elemental, which is why I made her hair like moss. I may eventually do more pics with her. I have so many ideas. Thanks."

There is a conntest called Spectrum that puts out a nationally published book of fantasy and sci-fi illustrators and artists. This is fantastic, Erika. You should certainly consider sending this one into competition. I think you'd make it in!

I'm so glad you stuck to the traditional fantasy undine instead of goind with the anime water warior so commonly seen. also the most beautiful thing ive seen on elfwood. Congrats!
