Pure Song

I see you

And the world fades around me

Watercolours smudged and merging in your rain

Provocatively lithe and lazily golden

You dance to a music box’s melody

I take your hand

And spin within you in this carousel of rainbows

Moulding myself into your haziness

I fall into your kiss

Revel in its warm depths

Where I swim its smooth sweetness in abandon

Fragmented reality melt and blur

In a pure song that has no memory

What once was broken

Now is whole

In this enchantment I sleep in darkness

And dance away with you

Into the light

OOoh! That's a beautiful dreamy scene that one...probably my fave scene in 'Labyrinth'. The music track of that scene is called 'hallucination'...

"Watercolours smudged and merging in your rain"... Another fine example of your ability to make words become more than words...

Have to agree with James. That line is beautiful. So many beautiful words in this one.

Pure is, indeed, the only word I can think of to describe it... for you've used them all in this excellent poem. -sighs dreamily.-

Bladerunner and love? That's such an... odd juxtaposition. Anyways, it lead to a very well written poem, as usual. Keep it up.It was the actual music soundtrack, namely the song 'Love Theme' that inspired this poem, rather than the movie itself...

Wow! This poem sings - you've captured song! ;:grins;: Okay, I know I didn't say much just now, but this poem sort of defies comments. Suffice it to say that I like it quite a lot. 12
