i really didn't like your art because it seems kid-dish. i think if you make your art work look a little bit more realistic then it may look better but right now it looks like a 10 year old drew it and thinks its the best picture in the world....sorry.

this work is not impressive for a 16 yr old.
maybe self-taught is not the best avenue for you...teachers are there for a reason.
Also, it is better to develop your own style rather that copy a style of cartoon that was originated by a race that is not your own. American "anime/manga" artists get no respect.
Vallejo is not someone to look up to.
research Frazetta and Brom (fantasy) and Dali, Raphael, Romaine Brooks, Goya.
If you had any art classes, you'd know that vallejo is overrated, although, frankly, most people would rather see his influence than anime.

I'm sorry, but i don't need art classes to know who i like, and i like vallejo. Most of my pictures are not anime, but i do enjoy it, so why wouldn't i draw it? Why would i have to be japanese to enjoy and draw anime?(and i'm not american). "

Im glad you commented on my page, it gave me a chance to pop over here and check your work out. I love your gallery, you have great potential and already some awsome stuff ^_^ I honestly dont understand those people like the comment above, you know what you like and that should be respected. Art isnt something to be forced upon someone, its an expressive form of emotion on paper, that too is something to respect, the fact that people have courage enough to put themselves out there and offer their talents to what always seems to be a harsh public is commendable. It seems simple enough, if you have a probelm with someone's style, dont look at it, but trying to tell them they are wrong in who they admire or what they choose to draw is downright disrespectful.

Hmmmm, some of this is excellent work, nearly professional level. Not that you should go into art, but if you colored some of these pieces, they're easily as good many commissioned pieces I've seen. I also like the contrast of your work, say between the piece 'alex' and 'queen of the pirates'...
In any case, keep drawing, you have been given a gift in that skill, and it's good to give that gift to the world...
