Beautiful profile, beautiful lines...beautiful idea... and you've managed to pull off hooves! And a faun with legs! Personally, I get all mixed up with the angles and they turn out just completely weird... The rose is pretty, too, and the tail is just adorable... *First comment stumble*! Maija Viertola replies: "The hooves were a last minute idea. Suddenly he just turned into a faun. I know that usually fauns have those legs that bend a little more backwards, and I don't know how hard it would be to walk with hooves if you had "normal legs" like I've drawn. But I like the effect, and he doesn't have to walk, just stand still. ^__^ Thanks for the nice comment!" | |
| 30 Jun 2004 | Hope L Kodman | Loading...Oh, wow...This is gorgeous. Not only did the placement and anatomy come off without a hitch, you've made something that, when described, would seem distasteful--a thin fellow with goat's legs dressed all in rags--look absolutely beautiful. Anatomy be damned (although I don't see any big problems with that, either), this piece works, from the hand holding the rose to the flying bits of garment. Maija Viertola replies: "Wheee! Thanks so much! I like this picture, so it is good to hear from someone that I've succeeded in what I was trying to accomplish." | |
| 5 Oct 2006 | Biadora | Loading...I really like this picture, both the feeling to it and how you have drawn it. Having browsed half of your pictures this is my favourite so far. Keep up the good work. Maija Viertola replies: "Thanks! I really enjoy knowing people's favorites." | |
